Responsibilities

This position is located in the Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR),
Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) with *two*
vacancies in Miami, FL.

As a Research Physical Scientist, you will perform the following duties:

Assist with oceanographic investigations centering on fluxes of energy,
momentum and materials through the air-sea interface, the transport and
composition (thermal and chemical) of ocean and coastal water masses and
the structure and dynamical processes on the seafloor.  Utilize research to
improve understanding of environmental processes in coastal and open-ocean
systems.  Identify atmospheric and environmental problems caused by changes
in atmospheric composition associated with natural and manufactured
emissions.  Assist with preparing data for presentation and dissemination
at scientific conferences or meetings; or publication in scientific
journals.  These duties are described at the full performance level of the
ZP-4; the ZP-3 is developmental leading to such performance.

Travel Required
25% or less - Up to 25% of domestic or foreign travel may be required for
this position.
