Dear Coral Listers,

We are pleased to invite contributions to the following Research Topic
through Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution / Marine Science / Microbiology
titled "Variance Matters: Individual Differences and Their Consequences
for Natural Selection Within and Among Coral Holobionts". This Research
Topic aims to give greater consideration to intraspecific variation among
individual coral colonies and the significance of this ecophysiological
diversity for the long-term survival of coral species. We welcome
submissions documenting variable responses of coral holobionts within and
across habitats, as well as contributions examining the sources of this
variation (genetics, symbiotic associations, environmental history, etc.)
and their implications for the future of coral reef ecosystems.

Manuscripts can be submitted to this Research Topic any time before 30
October 2020 (with a deadline for the abstracts on 31 July 2020). Full
details, including the abstract and submission guidelines, are available at
the following link: https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/12776.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Topic Editors with any queries, or to
express your interest.

Kind regards,

Vianney DENIS (National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan)
John PARKINSON (University of South Florida, Tampa, United States)
Sen-Lin TANG (Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan)
