[Coral-List] Second Anniversary of Caribbean Hope Spots

Dear all,

During the International Year of the Reef 2018, the Colombian civil society
joint efforts to protect the most resilient Coral Reefs in the Caribbean
Coast of Colombia. With the international scientific support, Mission Blue
declared Two Hope Spots.

During 2020 we are glad to inform you that Varadero Colombia and Coral
Reefs between Capurgana and Cabo Tiburon have not suffered from another
major threat due to unsustainable development. We keep working hard with
the Fisher communities  to convince the goverment that these coral reefs
should be effectively nationally protected or better included as Marine
World Heritage Sites to avoid dredgding and other plans.
