Good point about a tough coral that is likely to survive, but might not be
as charismatic as staghorn.
   I think I remember that one goal some time back in Florida and the
Caribbean, was to grow staghorn A cervicornis because it had declined so
badly that it had been listed as threatened under the US Endangered Species
Act.  In that case, it was more of a rear guard action to try to make sure
that the species wasn't lost.  Probably it is attractive as well because it
is so easy to fragment and it grows so fast, that farming is especially
successful.  It's what happens to it after it is planted out on the reef
that may be its weak point.
