Dear All

We’d like to introduce you to a few resources and platforms associated with ex situ coral spawning which our lab have been working on.

First, as its a new year we have a new website (https://www.coralspawninglab.org/) - come take a look at how we have addressed the current coral crisis with the design of bespoke mesocosms to induce coral spawning at any time of year and any time during the day. These systems mean you can say ‘good bye’ to those long nights waiting for the corals to spawn and bring the spawning to a lab near you.

We also have our Facebook group, under the same name ‘Coral Spawning Lab’ – with over 3.3k members this is a forum where everyone can discuss all things to do with coral sex.

We’ve also even braved the wonderful world of Twitter - at CoralSpawningLab – and keep our followers upto date with the latest advancements in coral spawning research from around the globe.

We hope to see you on one of these platforms in the not to distant future.

May 2021 be a little better than the year we’ve just left behind

Yours

Michael Sweet, Jamie Craggs and Vince Thomas
