Hello Coral List, I would like to share a recently published OA paper from
our group. It presents Southwestern Atlantic's tropical rhodolith beds as
a major reef fish habitat and may stimulate further research about this
topic.

For Portuguese & Spanish speaking folks, here are two related outreach
pieces:

https://conexao.ufrj.br/2021/01/12/os-corais-brasileiros-e-a-economia-da-destruicao/

And another outreach piece about the local debate on coral bleaching and
marginal reef survival. The picture of the dead Millepora and partially
dead Mussismilia shall translate it well:

Greetings from Brazil, currently known as the land of Bolsonaro (tropical
Trump), COVID, inequity and deforestation. Stay safe!

Rodrigo
