Good Day Everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know about a tenure track position at the University of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas campus. My understanding is that applications will be accepted until April 1.

The biology position is posted here: https://careers.uvi.edu/postings/4144

The position is to replace me because I have retired. In past years I have taught marine ecology, ecology, evolution, aquatic botany, seminars, a non-majors class in natural disasters, and others.
The students, colleagues, and general environment are wonderful.

The job description reads:

The ideal candidate will have: demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level; adaptability and genuine interest in teaching; and a strong commitment to teaching excellence, undergraduate research, and scholarship. All areas of biology will be considered, but preference will be given to individuals with expertise in one or more of the following- anatomy & physiology, biostatistics, botany, evolution, ecology, microbiology and molecular biology. Ideal applicants will also be able to work collaboratively with other UVI faculty, especially those across the STEM fields and in our research centers.

Teresa Turner
University of the Virgin Islands, retired
