We have now produced a high resolution pdf of our book ‘Soft Corals and Sea Fans: A comprehensive guide to the tropical shallow water genera of the central-west Pacific, the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea’, by Katharina Fabricius & Phil Alderslade (2001, Australian Institute of Marine Science, Townsville, 264 pp, ISBN: 0 642 322104). This book is now 20 years old, but it is still amongst the most comprehensive field guides to soft corals and sea fans in the Indo-Pacific. Although we still have a few book copies left for private sale (let Phil know if you are interested), we want the book to become open-access and to remain widely useful, hence now our distribution as a free pdf.
