Two positions are now available at the National Marine Sanctuary of
American Samoa.  These positions offer an exciting opportunity to work on a
wide range of marine science topics with a focus on coral reef ecosystems.

Current sanctuary projects include coral reef monitoring in Fagatele Bay,
Ta'u, and Rose Atoll; coral restoration; mesophotic exploration using a
small remotely operated vehicle; and climate change vulnerability
assessments.  The positions will also support visiting researchers and
education and outreach activities at the sanctuary.

 1.) NOAA - Marine Operations Coordinator

National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa is hiring a Marine Operations
Coordinator. This position is a full time permanent position at the
ZA-0301-3 level and is located in American Samoa.  The closing date for
this position is December 2, 2021.

2.) Cardinal Point Captains (CPC) - Research Scientist at NMSAS

Cardinal Point Captains (CPC) is hiring scientists to work with the
Conservation Science Program at the National Marine Sanctuary of American
Samoa.

Research Scientist
Masters degree plus experience required.  Develops and implements
conservation science projects to meet NMSAS priorities.  Duties include
implementing field surveys and research, processing and analyzing data, and
writing scientific reports.
