These are a member of a group of sharks commonly called "bamboo sharks" for
their very slim bodies which are relatively small for sharks.  The group
can also be called "longtail carpet sharks."

  They have been studied in the past because they can withstand hypoxia
that would kill any other vertebrate.  They become imoble but when oxygen
returns they wake up with no damage.
