Hello all,

I am currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic 2.5-year Postdoctoral Research Associate in tropical seagrass systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the project ‘Seagrass bright spots and their potential to mitigate climate change’. The project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and aims to understand the carbon storage capacity of seagrass meadows in the Maldives Archipelago.

The position will be based at Northumbria University (Newcastle, UK), but will also require two fieldtrips to the Maldives. The postholder will work closely with Dr. Richard Unsworth (co-Investigator), Swansea University, as well as a broader team of international collaborators, including those at the University of Edinburgh, BLUE Marine Foundation and Maldivian NGOs.

For informal enquiries, please get in touch by email (holly.east at northumbria.ac.uk).

For full details of the post, please see: https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/work-for-us/job-vacancies/academic-10949-postdoctoral-researcher

Application closing date: 28th February 2022

Many thanks,
Holly
