Tenure-Track Position
The Department of Biology and Biotechnology at The University of Houston-Clear Lake (http://www.uhcl.edu) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology, beginning Fall 2022. A Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field is required. Individuals with training and experience in the areas of plant or animal cellular physiology, biochemistry or related field are sought. Individuals with teaching and research experience in biochemistry or physiology are preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) courses within their specialization area and to develop other courses to meet the needs of the Biology Program related to the candidate's teaching interest and strengths.  The position has a normal teaching load of nine credit hours per semester (3:3 teaching load), comprised of undergraduate and graduate courses. Lecturer Position
The University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications for the position Lecturer of Biology, beginning August 2022.  This position has a normal teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester (4:4 teaching load) with the opportunity to teach courses in the summer semester. Responsible for supporting the teaching of BIOL 3141 Lab for Molecular Genetics and/or BIOL 4242 Lab for Biochemistry to support the increase the number of lab sections offered to meet the increasing demand of core lab that are required to complete the Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. The Lecturer of Biology will support the tab setup and oversight of Teaching Assistants assigned to these courses as well as collaborate with the Laboratory Supervisor to maintain laboratory equipment and laboratory space.
