There are papers back many decades ago that showed this by using particles of India ink and dyes observed under a microscope. I haven't read this Science article to see if the authors referenced the original work. The fluorescent beads do produce a beautiful video but not sure it adds any new understanding to how these animals feed. If others are interested in the earlier papers I can look them up when I recover from my recent surgery.
