[Coral-List] Funding for field work in Australia by PhD students and recent postdocs

The Australian Museum is pleased to announce that applications are now open for 2024 in both arms of its fellowships program.

These fellowships provide funding for coral reef field work at Lizard Island Research Station (LIRS) on the Great Barrier Reef. Note that they do NOT provide salary.

Lizard Island Doctoral Fellowships are for PhD students and there are five available to start in 2024. One of them is a new joint fellowship that offers the opportunity to conduct research at both LIRS and the Minderoo Exmouth Marine Laboratory on Australia's west coast. Information is here:

Closing date for Doctoral Fellowships is 13 Oct 2023 (AEST).

Lizard Island Postdoctoral Fellowships are for people who completed their PHD in the past five years. Four are available for research to start in 2024. Information is here:

Closing date for Postdoctoral Fellowships is 27 October 2023 (AEST).
