BIOLOGICAL AID

MAJOR DUTIES:
The incumbent implements Buck Island Reef National Monument (NM) Sea Turtle
research program collecting and processing field data on sea turtles
examining the biology and ecology of threatened and endangered animal
population, coastal processes, and mitigation of threats to nesting
success. Coordinates and works with project volunteers conducting night
time beach patrols. Operates motorized vehicles and boats; uses measuring
and tagging equipment on animals, survey instruments, radios, and other
electronic equipment; processes of field data, and maintains equipment and
inventory of supplies.
