Dear Coral-listers,
The most recent issue (July 2020) of /REEF ENCOUNTER/ (the ICRS news
journal) is now available (without charge) to members and non-members
alike. It can be downloaded from the ICRS website at
http://coralreefs.org/society-publications/reef-encounter/
This issue contains tributes to two past winners (Jack Randall and Ian
Macintyre) of the Darwin Medal (the Society's highest honour) and great
articles on the world's deepest photosynthetic coral in Hawaii, phoenix
corals in the Chagos Archipelago and the recommendations for coral reefs
being developed by ICRI and ICRS for the next intergovernmental meeting
of the Convention on Biological Diversity. There are also book reviews,
short research papers, and reports on their work from ICRS graduate
fellows, as well as Society news and announcements.
Offers of articles for the next edition, planned for December 2020, are
welcome.
