[Coral-List] Postdoc at UC San Diego on 3D printing, coral recruitment and artificial reefs

*Postdoc opportunity in coral reef organism metamorphosis, recruitment and
natural product synthesis at UC San Diego*



We are looking for one outstanding postdoc with a background in settlement,
metamorphosis, and recruitment of coral reef organisms. The postdoc will
have experience in:

-Coral larval physiology

-Animal metamorphosis

-Settlement cues of aquatic organisms incl. corals, CCA, macroalgae

-marine microbiology

-cell physiology and biochemistry

-natural product synthesis



The postdoc will work with a large interdisciplinary team from both
academia and industry and develop new techniques to modulate coral reef
settlement and recruitment for the development of artificial coral reefs.



Primary work location will be at the Department of NanoEngineering at UC
San Diego in collaboration with Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
