[Coral-List] human population reaches 8 billion about now, when will it peak?

Human population is important for coral reefs, because population
multiplies all the things that people do that damage reefs.  Estimates of
future population growth depend on recording and estimating death rates and
birth rates.  Records and estimates have been improving, but there are
still significant uncertainties, and the uncertainties in the future
increase the farther ahead in time the prediction is.  The UN has
apparently released a new population report, and here is a summary of come
