Are you in the coral communications field?  Are you interested in creating a network to learn from each other and amplify our messages? The Florida Coral Disease Outbreak Response Communications Team has adapted the in-person Reef Futures workshop session "Coral Communication: Building a Community of Practice Workshop" into a virtual format. Please feel free to circulate this invitation with other colleagues.

The focus of the virtual "Coral Communication: Building a Community of Practice Workshop" is to create a community of practice for communications among coral reef conservation professionals.  This workshop will not teach how to communicate science to the general public, but rather focus on how we as coral reef conservation and restoration practitioners and scientists can work together from a communications standpoint - e.g., streamlining and amplifying shared messaging and internal communications within the coral restoration community.  We hope this workshop serves as the first steps to create a working group to build an internal communicators network.
