Black in Marine Science + The Nature Conservancy Dive Immersion Program

Do you know an aspiring marine scientist that is interested in getting scuba certified and learning about careers in the field? The Nature Conservancy has teamed up with Black in Marine Science to offer a Dive Immersion Program where participants are fully funded to receive open water diver training as well as participate in internship-like activities with local marine science practitioners. All costs including any required travel and tuition for the dive course are covered.

We are happy to announce the second session of the BIMS-TNC Dive Immersion program! This session will take place May 28-June 3 in Cape Eleuthera, Bahamas. Interested applicants can use this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSczJOsXrHuu_p1MZ5pdI1LBdcOQD8g-fEYnlwxI0kmW89etVg/viewform> to apply. Must be 18 or over to apply and applications must be submitted by February 22nd. The opportunity is open to any student globally, but applicants must have necessary travel documents to travel to and from the Bahamas.

**Note: the USVI session of the BIMS-TNC Immersion program has one day left (closes February 15th) to apply. That application can be found here<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc_9EDHbxVq3ulHw-bx1ZGnEXgIpJ0FUBNXsoA4GleqMYetlA/viewform>.

Black in Marine Science seeks to provide experiences that may not have been afforded due to racial inequities. The BIMS SCUBA Program is meant to introduce students and professionals from traditionally excluded backgrounds to experiences that will allow you to successfully be awarded competitive internships and scholarships in the future.
