Thanks Alina, for sharing your perspective that most people do not want to
talk about "Bruno": Consequences of overpopulation.

Remember the identification of "the triggers" by Leslie: "the real issue in
Florida is the overall overdevelopment of the Kissimee ecosystem from
Orlando to Key West, plus the failure to adequately consider the
environment and marginalized people in development plans' '.

It is worth noting the observations of Dr. Precht that "the (leaking)
pipe of the CMD-WWTP on Virginia Key that dumps 150 million gals
treated wastewater per day into the Atlantic was only about 250m from
where the SCTLD was first spotted"

Scientists should start thinking about environmentally friendly
alternatives and solutions. Yes, the ones that will choose not to pollute
or destroy ecosystems. We should evolve to be more civilized and urgently
prefer to avoid justification of the causes and effects with excuses that
we are scientifically experimenting with a few species of coral to allow
the degradation process continue.

Scientists and / or policy makers are all in the same boat. We know that
ecosystems are affected by human activity both at local and global level.

Let us talk about "Bruno" and act now, leading by example ! The coral
reefs are worthy to be really saved.

All the best,
Nohora Galvis
