The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) via Florida
International University is recruiting for a *Research Specialist* to work
as part of the FKNMS Science Team.

*Position title:* Research Specialist II – Coral Reefs (Key Largo or Key
West)

*Job summary: *The Research Specialist II coordinates science and research
operations at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary in support of the
sanctuary's management plan. This includes, but is not limited to: coral
reef monitoring, damage assessment and habitat restoration, supporting
sanctuary research activities, assessment of management effectiveness,
permit review, and research partner coordination. The Research Specialist
will be responsible for data collection, management and analysis, report
writing, and record keeping, and assists the FKNMS Research Coordinator
with strategic planning, coordinating field activities, and scheduling
research team staff.

*Location: *Florida Keys - Key Largo or Key West.

*Advertised salary:* $65,000 - $75,000
