  Dear Colleagues:

We would like to announce the availability of partial funding for
participants in Mini-Symposium 6, "Ecological and evolutionary

Fort Lauderdale, July 7th-11th 2008. Preference will be given to
students and participants from developing countries. Interested
parties should contact one of the session organizers listed at the
bottom of this email.

We will have five invited speakers:

“Gene expression in Symbiodinium under stress”

Dr. Forest Rohwer. San Diego State University

"Coral Reef Metagenomics"

Dr. Sandie Degnan, University of Queensland.

“Settling on the right genes: functional genomic approaches to
evolutionary ecology of marine invertebrate larval settlement”

Dr. Cheryl Woodley. DOC/NOAA/NOS/NCCOS

Dr. David Miller. James Cook University.

We welcome abstract submissions on these topics as well as all
aspects of “Ecological and evolutionary genomics of coral reef

We expect to have a long informal discussion at the end of the
